Hodson and Broadhurst race to top 10 finishes

Southwest Baptist University's women's track and field team enjoyed high finishes at the Washington University Invitational on April 3. In the 10,000-meter race, junior Jackie Hodson took fourth place. Freshman Amy Broadhurst finished sixth in the 800-meter race followed by senior Sara Tedford in 24th. In the 5,000-meter race, junior Christine Showler finished 14th and junior Erika Anderson finished 35th. Senior Jenny Trevathan leapt her way to a 14th place finish in the 400-meter hurdles.

For the men's team, in the 5,000-meter race, junior Tom Miner finished 36th, sophomore Michael Haub (49th) and senior John Harris (53rd).

Some team members also competed at the Kansas University Invitational on Thursday, April 15. Results were not available at time of print.

The team is still struggling with illness and injuries, but those who are healthy are competing Friday, April 16, at the Central Missouri State Missouri Relays.
