After three years at Southwest Baptist University, Dana Bradshaw has resigned from her position as head softball coach. She is leaving SBU to move back to Mississippi to prepare for her upcoming marriage.

In three years, Bradshaw has produced three All-MIAA first-team players and four All-MIAA honorable mentions. The past two years, she has had 12 players on the MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and three players on the Academic All-MIAA team.

This past season, Bradshaw's team was recognized as one of the top 10 academic teams in the nation by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The Bearcats finished as the 10th team with a 3.36 grade point average.

Bradshaw's first year at SBU was her best as the Bearcats went 14-25 overall and 6-12 in the MIAA. Overall, she has compiled a record of 26-84 and 9-45 (MIAA) at SBU.

"Dana has chosen to resign to go back to Mississippi to be closer to her fiance," SBU athletics director Jim Middleton said. "We certainly respect that decision and appreciate her three years here as the softball coach."
