Dear Editor,

God has blessed me with the amazing opportunity to be a Bearcat for three years. I first visited Southwest Baptist University three years ago and was captivated by the love of Christ evidenced through each one of you. The people here at SBU make the difference. It is knowing that C. Pat Taylor and the staff are praying for us. It is starting out classes with prayer. It is seeing Dr. Reeves' passion for Jesus Christ. It is being inspired by Dr. Cochran's wisdom and great knowledge. It is gathering together with fellow believers and worshipping God together in chapel. It is being challenged by all the professors to always do our best. It is cheering on the Bearcats to victory while looking upon a sea of purple at SBU sports events. It is going to see all the great actors and actresses perform to entertain us.

SBU is full of inspiring people, encouraging people, those who will be life-long friends and even though I did not get my ring by spring, I will never forget my days as a Bearcat. It has been a honor and a privilege to be a Bearcat and to be a part of a school where Jesus is put first in all things. That would have to be my favorite part of being a Bearcat. The purple paint, Utah Jazz cape and school spirit aside, I have fallen more and more in love with my Savior Jesus Christ here at SBU. You all have helped me to enjoy Christ more than I ever have. Thank you SBU family for allowing me the privilege of coming to this school. Each one of you have challenged, taught and inspired me to put Jesus Christ first in every aspect of my life. My fellow SBU brothers and sisters the days, do not ever forget the days you were a Bearcat.
