What little New Zealand was able to do against the 2004 Olympic Champion United States women's soccer squad in America's 5-0 victory Sunday, (Oct. 3) at PGE Park was supplied by the Southwest Baptist University players.

Both junior Priscilla Duncan and freshman Haley Moorwood were in the Kiwi's starting 11, and they registered the only two shots by the team in the match -- Duncan took the first in the 31st minute, with the United States ahead by a 1-0 count after getting the first eight shots; Moorwood's came in the 37th minute. Both were high over the crossbar.

Duncan left the lineup before the second half began, and sophomore Pip Meo replaced Moorwood in the 84th minute.

For the Olympic champs, Mia Hamm scored the first two goals (16th and 55th minutes), while Abby Wambach scored in the 60th minute. Kristine Lilly logged her 100th international goal in the 67th minute, and Cat Reddick finished the scoring in the 82nd minute. The United States out-shot the Kiwis, 19-2.

The United States and New Zealand will meet again Sunday, Oct. 10 at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. The match is part of women's national team's "Fan Celebration Tour."
