October 8, 2004 marked the day when five brave men left all they knew, crossed vast, unknown territories, fought against herds of orcs, goblins, and bearded women - all for the sake of freedom - and milk...milk in a bag. No one ever said the journey would be easy - and it was not - the courageous explorers faced a plethora of obstacles: the blistering cold of the Dakotas, the evil stench known as Iowa and the ruthless troll that stood guard at the "Sacred Border of William Shatner."
With nothing but a chest filled with processed meats, sliced cheese, white bread, fudge rounds, a box of "Finding Nemo" fruit snacks, homemade cookies, and whatever chips were found in the floorboard, the warriors defeated the constant hunger billowing within their billows and stomachs.
The battle ravaged on and on, until only two of the conquistadors stood, or at least sat in the front seats, of the battlefield. Sleep had come and danced the magic dance that so few can withstand after 15 hours on the road. Things looked pretty grim for the brave travelers, but alas, reinforcements arrived from the lands of Dee Vee Dee. They gave protection through the night as the legendary soldiers known as Sir Peter Griffin and Duke Hank of Hill fought the endless shadows of sleep.
Finally, the great walls of Winnipeg greeted the weary, sleep-deprived, stinky men and their gallant stallion named "Ford Taurus." The kingdom was now theirs for the taking, nothing could stop them...and nothing did.
This daring tale filled with drama, action, romance, horror and freedom is now being told to the younger generations across the mighty stronghold of "really, really good looking guys" commonly called "second east" in the territory of Landen. The names Tarry, Danny, Chris, Jarrod and Bobby will forever echo the halls as they have gone where no other SBU students have ever ventured before . . . going to Canada in one weekend.
