Last year, the Welcome Week steering committee could be identified around the Southwest Baptist campus by their memorable super hero gear, but all that is about to change.
The co-directors of Welcome Week 2007, junior Raylene Powell and junior Justin Bouckaert have selected the 2007 Welcome Week Steering Committee:
Brother / Sister Chair Sophomore Dane Cockrell
Secret Servant Chair
Junior Liz Hood
Prayer Warrior Chair Sophomore Tyler Wilkins
Social Events Chair
Junior Lane Kucharski
Publicity Chair
Junior Zach Henderson
Business Manager
Junior Danielle Pollock
"We looked for students with a desire and passion for new students and Welcome Week as a whole," said Bouckaert. "We sought God and the decision He wanted us to make."
The steering committee does not have a theme, speaker or band selected yet, but the search is underway. The group will have a retreat Feb. 16-18 to get things started.
"I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone's unique personality comes together and forms great ideas for next year," said Powell.
