Enrollment down two at start of spring semester

Though Southwest Baptist University gained 16 freshman and 37 transfer students for the 2007 Spring semester, totals show the university is down two students compared to last Spring.
Along with the new freshmen and transfer students, 15 students were readmitted after leaving SBU for an extended amount of time.
According to the Undergraduate Student Profile, 53 percent of SBU's 1,391 students are female, and 649 students, 47 percent, are male.
SBU's top majors include business and elementary education.
Seventy percent of SBU's population are from Polk County, and this semester, SBU is home to 20 international students.
