Student Government plans spring activities

With spring-like weather in bloom in Southwest Missouri, Southwest Baptist University Student Government Association is springing into action with numerous activities.
The Songwriters' Showcase concert will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 in Goodson Student Union. Students performing will have the opportunity to win cash prizes. There will also be a special tribute to Ethics Week.
Assassins kickoff will be at 9 p.m. Sunday, March 4 in Goodson Student Union. Though the actual game does not start until Monday, March 5, students must attend kickoff to participate. Those who attend the Songwriters' Showcase concert will be given a special advantage in the competition.
Senior David Van Bebber has been chosen as the host for the Kinesis Film Festival. The film festival will begin March 12.
Junior Chris Dutchmann was voted in as the junior class president at the last SGA meeting.
Meetings are held at 6 p.m. every Monday night in the SGA office in Goodson Student Union.
