Leadership choice lacks discernment

Southwest Baptist University is "preparing students to be servant leaders in a global society." All students look to role models for examples on leadership. The natural place to look would be a school's student government. If students at SBU are looking to our Student Government Association for examples on leadership, they may want to look elsewhere, because for the past four years at SBU, those that fill and have filled the positions on the SGA cabinet are not and have not been decided based on experience, vision or leadership.

Bookstore return policy seems unfair to students

At the beginning of each semester, the majority of students at Southwest Baptist University purchase books at the school bookstore. Some students walk away satisfied while others feel like they have been robbed by an unfair system. This editorial is meant to explain the school policies of the bookstore and to explore some current problems that students face with the bookstore.

Tomlinson remembers adolescence

I remember when it was cool to wear only one book bag strap on your shoulder. In fact, wearing both straps pretty much meant you were a social outcast, or at least well on your way to becoming one. Wearing two straps basically meant you were either completely ignorant to the current day trends, sporting two straps only because you honestly didn't know any better, or you were trying ridiculously hard to be a non-conformist and felt two-strap-book-bag-wearing was the best way to go about the fast-approaching revolution.
