SBU partakes in 'Elixir of Love'

The Opera Theatre class will present their culminating project "The Elixir of Love" by Gaetano Donizetti Friday, March 9. "I'm very excited about 'Elixer,'" said Michael Mays, instructor of voice. "It's a project for which we've been working and preparing for three years now.

One Tuesday night a few months back, four friends and I took a venture up to Mexican Villa. On the way up, we popped in the new Jay-Z album released Nov. 21, Kingdom Come, and we soon found ourselves bouncing to that oh so familiar, signature Jay-Z sound. We were a sight for our onlookers.

Southwest Baptist University students are facing a sad truth: it is hard to find good coffee with a good environment in this town. Granted, we do have Morsels, but apart from that, our choices are quite sparse. Furthermore, where else can you find good music and listen to it with most of your friends without buying a ticket? The Songwriters' Showcase provided some relief Tuesday, March 6.

Relient K ends on their 'Deathbed'

Relient K released their fifth studio album titled Five Score and Seven Years Ago March 6. Although I have been disappointed in the past, I gave them another chance. I have never been a fan of Relient K. In all honesty, my main reason is the fact that the only reason they are big is because they are labeled as a Christian band.
