The team will also have a chance to present the gospel in the local high schools. This is the second team SBU will send to Brazil.
"I'm most looking forward to meeting the kids, playing a lot of soccer, loving on the kids and building relationships," said senior Erin Phelps.
SBU graduates Ethan Hampton and Ashley Schaffer will take 10 students to Canton, Miss. to work with In His Steps Ministries with service projects and racial reconciliation. The team will also work with youth and children, holding backyard Bible clubs.
