Kelly Baker, executive vice president for sales at Teters Floral Products Company in Bolivar, was named the first recipient of the Psalm 15 Leadership Award. The award was presented to Baker by Southwest Baptist University's College of Business and Computer Science (COBACS) during the annual COBACS Psalm 15 lecture held March 8.
"Our first ever Psalm 15 Leadership Award recognizes Kelly Baker for his commitment to the characteristics of a professional who has enjoyed great professional success while maintaining his integrity and Christian values," said Dr. David Whitlock, professor and COBACS dean.
Each semester, COBACS hosts a professional who speaks on integrating faith in their profession. Baker was this year's featured speaker.
Two COBACS students were awarded the annual Psalm 15 Student Award. Selected by COBACS faculty members, the award is the highest honor given to a COBACS student. This year's recipients were seniors Kristina Penland and Brad Shrimpton.
