SBU President Dr. C. Pat Taylor has asked Dr. Bob Klostermeyer, assistant professor of political science and chair of SBU's Department of History and Political Science, to serve as the University's agreement coordinator.
Klostermeyer and Dr. Vickie Ellis, professor of education, visited the TSU campus in January and are responsible for initiating the agreement, which was approved by SBU's Board of Trustees in February.
Both Klostermeyer and Taylor will travel to TSU in May to discuss and develop exchange programs that would benefit students and faculty members of both universities.
Located in Tomsk, Russia, TSU is the first university established in the Russian region of Siberia.
The University is made up of 22 departments with an enrollment of 23,000 students. Both TSU and SBU were founded in 1878.
