The next few days are rife with social activities for students. Saturday, April 21 is an exciting day with Emerging Musicians United (EMU) Fest from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 11 pm. This takes place in Ingman Hall and in the field outside of Casebolt Apartments. The concert is free, but for $5, students can get hamburgers, hot dogs and chips.
The Mozarkian occurs in between the EMU fest from 6-8:30 p.m. at McClelland Dining Hall. Tickets can be purchased at the SBU Bookstore for $7 per person or $12 per couple. Join us for New York Strip Steak, free t-shirts and line dancing.
There is also a Humane Society Drive Monday, April 23 at 5:30 p.m. in Pike Auditorium. Four musical acts will be performing, along with a dog show, and the illustrious yo-yo tricks of sophomore Philip Enloe.
Student Government also said goodbye to President Laura Towner in her last full meeting as she will pass on the responsibilities to senior Ivry Karamitros next week. For anyone who wants to apply for a position on the new executive board such as Major Events or Student Activities along with other positions, please sign up outside the SGA office in the Goodson Student Union for an interview, the deadline is April 27.
