Outside of their individual awards and award nominations, both Browning and Oliver made history in 2006 when they became the first ever SBU students to serve as MCMA officers.
With Browning's election as president, and Oliver being elected vice president, SBU became the host school for the 2007 MCMA Convention, an honor that included many hours of planning and preparation.
"It was a lot of work," said Browning. "But it was definitely worth it after hearing the compliments and seeing all of the satisfied faces. It was an amazing experience."
