SGA selects new council

The 2007-2008 Student Government Association Executive Cabinet announced the 2007-2008 Activities Council Monday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 1.
The Activities Council consists of four chair positions: concerts, major events, campus activities and publicity.
Sophomore Tyler Wilkins is the new concerts chair; freshman Becca Koe is the new major events chair; sophomore Jared Kathcart is the new campus activities chair, and junior Zach Henderson is the new publicity chair.
The SGA Executive Cabinet served as the panel to choose the new chairs.
According to Student Body President senior Ivry Karamitros, the panel looked for qualities such as experience in the candidates' respective positions, dedication and time commitment, prior SGA involvement and a desire to recruit support personnel for their respective committees.
Wilkins, Koe and Kathcart were announced at the weekly SGA meeting Monday, April 30.
The Cabinet conducted a second round of interviews for the publicity chair, and Henderson was announced publicity chair May 1.
