Screaming and anxious Spiderman fans waited in line for hours in a theatre to get good seats early the morning of Friday, May 4 in order to see the midnight showing of Spiderman 3. It has been a few years since Marvel has given fans the pleasure of viewing their favorite spandex-wearing, web-throwing science geek on the big screen, and, needless to say, it was about time.
After seven seasons of witty banter and good old small-town conflict, "Gilmore Girls" is saying farewell. Though the constant love battle of Luke and Lorelei, the likeable neuroticism of Rory and those priceless town meetings will be missed, I believe it is time for the girls to say goodbye.
We live in a society where bigger is better, especially when it comes to movies. We want bigger budgets, bigger action sequences and bigger names in the leading roles. But, every once in a while, a great movie comes along that has none of those things. "In the Land of Women" is one of those great movies that serves as a little treasure among the big-budget, big-name directed movies.
