Every participant received a free Trivia Extravaganza t-shirt.
Throughout each school year, the Alumni Association sponsors several activities. The campus activities committee specializes in student activities, including Trivia Extravaganza.
"We want to let [the students] know the alumni are looking out for them," said Summers.
Despite a slight participation decrease from previous years, the excitement was as usual as participants enjoyed friendly competition.
"Chris Keller organized three of the teams himself," said Summers. "They were waiting for us."
Summers described the event as good clean fun, fellowship and a study break for students straining at the end of the semester. This is Summers' first year implementing Trivia Extravaganza. He is brainstorming ways to improve the game next year. Summers said the Alumni Association is excited about the enthusiasm expressed by the students about the game.
"The Alumni Association wants the students to know we're here for them," said Summers. "We want to provide activities for them and a good experience. We want to give them an idea of what alumni give back to the University through resources and interaction with students."
Summers hopes next spring the game might be held earlier in the semester to improve participation.
