Blair and Gillespie toed the line next for the finals of the 400-meter dash. Blair finished third in a personal best of 56.92 seconds while Gillespie finished sixth in 58.22. Blair and Gillespie both earned all-conference honors for the 400-meter dash and Blair missed the 400 provisional mark by just .32 seconds.
In the 800-meter finals, Maggart and Roth both finished in the top six to pick up all-conference awards. Maggart finished fifth (2:17.1), and Roth finished sixth (2:18.76).
Next up for the Lady 'Cats was Gillespie in the finals of the 400-meter hurdles. Running her fourth 400 of the meet, Gillespie recorded a personal best of 1:03.72 and finished second. Gillespie's performance made her the only SBU athlete to earn multiple All-MIAA honors and only missed the 400-hurdles provisional mark by .42 seconds.
After Gillespie's stellar performance, Blair finished her individual events by placing seventh in the 200-meter dash (25.84).
Although the women finished last in the MIAA again, the future looks bright for the women's track program. The entire women's track team returns next year, and their new coach cannot wait.
"I could not be any more excited about the opportunity to coach such a great group who give the glory to God," said Head Coach Corey McElhaney. "I am already looking forward to next season."
With the conference meet under their belts, some of the SBU women will head to a last meet to qualify for nationals. While none of the women have qualified for nationals, Blair and Gillespie both have a solid chance to meet the provisional qualifying marks.
