The Alaska team left May 20 and returned June 9. Led by Kyle Ausmus and Sarah Lewis, the team of 16 worked with the Tlingit people in Hoonah Alaska.

The team did worked for the elders of the Tlingit community because elders are held in a very high reverence.
During the second half of the week, the team helped park rangers with the Hoonah Days celebration.
"The thing that left the biggest impression on me was when the Tlingit's put on a native dance and shared their traditional beliefs," said sophomore Hannah Utley. "Their creation story was similar to the Christian creation story, and it was interesting to hear the similarities.".
