Southwest Baptist University vice president of Information and Technology Dr. Bob McGlasson announced that the Information and Technology Services area in cooperation with Safety and Security and Student Life has begun implementation of the e2Campus messaging system.
"The e2Campus system will enable us to instantly communicate with students, faculty and staff - wherever they are via mobile phone, text messaging, email, web page, Blackberry device, pager and PDA with wireless connection," said McGlasson.
Notifications are sent by designated administrators and are immediately delivered to recipients. The notification can include basic information and instructions.
Notifications can include campus closing, severe weather, terrorist event, Clery Act events, routine reminders and sports scores.
Students can sign up for e2Campus on the University website.
