ABC will continue serving up new seasons of favorites "Ugly Betty," "Desperate Housewives" and "Grey's Anatomy."
Out of eight new shows, two struck my attention as I watched their commercials on TV.
"Samantha Who?" stars Christina Applegate and Melissa McCarthy ("Gilmore Girls Sookie St. James"). Applegate plays a woman stricken with amnesia who has to start her life over.
"Cavemen," a spin off of the infamous Geico commercials, takes viewers on a journey through a day in the life of a caveman living in the 21st century.
While both shows have potential, they are likely to flop. Though they may be entertaining at first, how long can a character have amnesia or be clueless in a new world?
"Samantha Who?" premieres at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 and "Cavemen" premieres at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2 on ABC.
CBS continues this fall with a plethora of crime scene shows and another season of "Survior." Though the network is bringing five new shows, none of them will likely stick around, unless of course you want to see kids run their own lives.
If none of the new fall shows are interesting, viewers can always do what I will. Buy "Gilmore Girls" on DVD.
