If you are like me, watching the Gilmore girls dine at Luke's for the last time brought a deep sadness and the inevitable question, 'what will I watch next season?' to mind as the summer months full of reruns dragged on.
Even though I am still trying to pick up the pieces of my broken 'Gilmore' heart, I managed to compile a list of new shows from four major networks that may begin to heal those still hurting over last year's season finales.
The CW kicks off their new season Tuesday, Sept. 18. The network, in its second year, will welcome six new shows, including one starring "Gilmore Girls" star Scott Patterson.
"Aliens in America" follows 16 year old Jason Tolchuck, an unpopular kid at a high school in Wisconsin. When his mother signs up to host a foreign exchange student in hopes to make her son cooler, she is surprised to find out they are hosting a Pakistani student who could not be more different from her son. "Aliens in America" follows Jason and his exchange student as they continue to live life in Wisconsin.
This show is sure to have laughs, and because The CW provides quality entertainment, this show is sure to be a hit.
"Aliens in America" will premiere at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 on The CW.
Though NBC graced us this summer with "The Singing Bee," an enthusiastic music game show hosted by former *NSYNC star Joey Fatone, they will continue to bring quality programming this fall, adding six shows to the fall lineup.
"Chuck" follows the lives of the Chuck Bartowski, a Best Buy Geek Squad wannabe, who works for a similar company and a CIA agent assigned to work with Chuck following his discovery of top secret information while doing maintenance on a computer.
While this seems like a funny comedy, it is not certain this show can last more than a couple of seasons.
If readers are unsure of the new shows NBC has to offer, tried and true shows "The Office," "ER" and "Deal or No Deal" will kick-off new seasons.
"Chuck" premieres at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24 on NBC.
