This Canadian rock band includes singer Trevor McNevan, bass player Joel Bruyer and drummer Steve Augustine.
Their new songs have the perfect rock mix of harmony and screams, not to mention lyrics that add gasoline to the fire within us. Each song is constructed toward a main focus.
"From a spiritual point of view, we're all Christian guys," said McNevan, on the band's website. "We would never want to hide that fact, but musically, we just want to play. We've been associated with gospel, with hip-hop/rock, with a lot of things. We don't preach. I mean, Rawkfist certainly proved that! I just write songs from my point of view, and we just want to spread hope and positivity."
Thousand Foot Krutch has released four albums since 2004.
They have sold over 450,000 copies of their CDs. After being together for seven years and climbing the charts, the band has kept the same goal.
"I think looking at this band, what people could expect our goal for the next record, and the one after that and hopefully the one after that, is to try to make great music that can apply to as many people as possible, without sounding like I've put too much thought into that," said McNevan on the band's website.
The band's creativity progresses with each song.
The song "Fall Apart" has true lyrics that include, "It falls apart from the very start. It falls apart, seems like everything I touch falls apart. Everything around me falls apart, when I walk away from you. Everything I have ever been made of hates who I am, I'm so glad you waited. Can't get my mind off that you can love me."
A melodic song that serves to challenge listeners is "What do we know."
The striking lyrics speak out.
"We all try to be somebody, but the world around us makes it so cloudy. When we don't trust where we're supposed to, but the blood on the hands says we're not close to the answer, yeah. But maybe if we pull together we can change a million lives for the better. And maybe if we prayed a little more, we will stop living in fear from the storm. And everyone sings, what do we know?"
This song activates, yet makes us reflect.
Another song that brings attention to young people is the song "The New Drug."
The lyrics include, "I, I want you. I, I need you. I, I believe you. You are the new drug."
A personal relationship with Jesus is so intense that it is like an addiction.
Thousand Foot Krutch is currently on the 2007 Portable Sounds Tour with Toby Mac and BarlowGirl.
"The Flame In All Of Us" was produced by Tooth & Nail Records.
