Last fall, Southwest Baptist gained a unique facet to its array of clubs and activities. Twice a week, chairs are cleared from the lounge area of Goodson Student Union, and the clashing of sabers and foils can be heard over the usual din as students sharpen their fencing skills.
Monday morning Chapels have a new look this semester. Junior Dane Cockrell, a biblical studies major, and senior David VanBebber, mass communications major, have become the new voices of 10 a.m., with their video of campus announcements airing before the chapel service begins once a week.
Last week, the Student Government Association held class elections in Goodson Student Union. Three new officers were elected reperesentatives for their class. The only contested race was the freshman class president election between Dylan Sammet and Toby Brown.
