Habitat for Humanity hosts advocacy event

The Southwest Baptist University chapter of Habitat for Humanity began the semester with one big project, clearing a lot in Morrisville. Last Saturday, five students and two faculty sponsors spent the day clearing brush and debris from a vacant lot so they can begin their first building project of the year in the spring.

Being the Church: Women's Discipleship kicks off

Southwest Baptist University's women's small group ministry, the Discipleship Program, will kick off its new year this weekend. The program consists of small groups of women, usually several younger students and an upperclassman leader who has been through at least one year of Discipleship.

Southwest Baptist University has another new face on campus this semester. Is she a new student or faculty member? Not quite. Many have heard Christy Moore talk about the mission trip she will be leading to Brazil this spring break but do not know much about her.
