We are looking forward to a huge turn-out.
As for an update on the fountain petition, it was delivered to the Administration on Tuesday Sept. 18. Last Tuesday, Student Government received word back from President Taylor that renovation on the fountain is to begin immediately.
President Taylor explained that the administration also noticed the deterioration on the fountain, and as a result, funds were allocated in this year's capital improvement budget to fix the fountain.
President Taylor was very helpful and efficient in helping fix this fountain problem, and he is also ready to work on other problems concerning campus beautification.
He requested a meeting with Student Body Vice President, Kristen Blinzler; Dean of Students, Rob Harris; and Zach Waters, director of Student Activities to discuss other areas on the campus that need some improvement.
President Taylor went on to say that he wants to make this campus the best possible for current and future students.
Student Government appreciates cooperation with President Taylor, and we are looking forward to a great year where students and administration come together for the good of our campus.
If any students have ideas or concerns about our campus, Student Government would like to hear those so that we can take them to the meeting with President Taylor.
Students can voice their concerns at the Student Government meeting on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. in Davis Theater in Goodson Student Union or send Student Government an email at sga@sbuniv.edu.
