Past and present students prepare for 2007 Homecoming activities

Southwest Baptist University alumni, students, faculty and staff will celebrate 2007 Homecoming activities next week. A variety of activites have been planned.
Meet the Players
At 7 p.m. Monday, Oct 1, in the Blair Intramural Gym, students will have the opportunity to get to know members of the University's fall sports teams. Dorm points will be awarded. Following this event, Casebolt Apartments will host a mud tug of war.
Scratch Track Concert
Scratch Track and Triptastic will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2 in Pike Auditorium.
Spirit Chapel
Dorm points will be awarded to students attending Spirit Chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3. During Chapel, dorms will perform Homecoming cheers.
Talent Show
Students will have the opportunity to support fellow students at the annual Homecoming talent show at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 in Pike Auditorium. Dorm points will be given to students in attendance, and prizes will be awarded to participant winners.
Honors Chapel
The presentation of the 2007 Life Service Award and the Edwin Lightfoot Distinguished Alumni Award will be at Honors Chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4 in Pike Auditorium.
In addition to the presentation of the awards, the Homecoming court will be presented. Students in attendance will receive dorm points.
Bed Races
Bed races will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 by Randolph Chapel. Dorm points will be awarded to students in attendance.
The Homecoming parade, tailgate party, game and queen cororation will be Saturday, Oct. 6. Details will be printed in the October 5 issue.
