Students gather to pray over campus

Zach Waters, director of Student Activities closed the time of prayer.
After the event, many students expressed their satisfaction with the event.
"I enjoyed it. It was helpful to get together as students and pray for the country and school, as prayer is necessary," said freshman Ruby Karamitros
"It was good, I liked the number of students who came and were committed," said Smith.
It was estimated that around 75 people attended the event..
See You at the Pole is a national student-initiated and student-led movement that began in Texas in 1990.
In 1998, the number of groups having a designated time of prayer around a campus flag pole grew to more than three million.
The event is scheduled for the fourth Wednesday in September each year.
"It was amazing. The turnout was better than I expected, it was an awesome feeling," Dutschmann said.
"It was good to come together and feel connected to the other students even if you don't know them personally," said junior Megan Whit.

Maybe being a missionary in an eastern European country where I hear world news from a global source makes me more aware of what's going on both in the U. (Continued…)
