Hispanic Heritage celebration continues

On Friday, Sept. 28, about 50 students filled Blair Intramural Gym, swaying to the tune of Latin ballroom music. Two instructors from the Sonshine Ballroom in Springfield spent an hour instructing couples on the basic steps of various Latin American ballroom dances, such as salsa, the rumba and the cha cha.

Students with common names reveal statistical trends

What's in a name? The so- called members of "Generation Y" are growing up, and the babies of the latter half of the 1980's are now the current college generation, filling campuses across America with "Hi, I'm Ashley" and "Hi, I'm Matt." For children of the 1980's, the most common names of the time are still evident.
