2008 Woodie Awards
Each year during Homecoming, a group of 20-something year old guys from Southwest Baptist University's one and only "fraternity," Maupin Hall, dress in drag and compete not for money or a fancy prize but for the glory of being named the best cross-dressing king, or queen, on campus.
The annual talent show for Southwest Baptist University's 2007 Homecoming week was held Thursday Oct. 4, in Pike Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The event was put on by the University Activities Council's Major Events Committee, which organized most of the week's events.
The Student Government Association hosted an art show for student and community participants on Saturday, Oct. 13. The showcase was located in Goodson Student Union and lasted from 3 to 5 p.m. "The art show was put on to try and get different people's art out," said sophomore Becca Koe, major events committee chair.
