2008 Woodie Awards
The first ever "Spotlight" talent show was held in Pike Auditorium Tuesday, Oct. 23. This show was a different talent show than the annual Homecoming talent show. The show included an art category with a gallery in the forum of Mabee Chapel for students to view before and after the show.
About 100 people situated themselves around the Meyer Recital Hall for the Prime Time All-Stars concert on Monday, Oct. 22, at 8:30 p.m. The crowd was diverse, with the majority of audience members above the age of 50. What happened for the next hour and a half was an avalanche of musical epiphany.
If you ever imagined a rock musical movie with music solely from one of the greatest bands brought to this world by the grace of God, then you don't have to look too hard. During the month of October, one of the greatest movies of our lifetime, "Across the Universe," hit the theatres all over the world.
Relient K released their Christmas album "Let It Snow, Baby…Let It Reindeer" on Oct. 23. The project was produced by Matt Thiessen, Relient K vocalist, and Mark Lee Townsend. The new CD has ten classic Christmas songs as well as six original songs. These songs include "Angels We Have Heard On High" and "Handel's Messiah.
