The Basketball Bash, held Oct. 29, was a way to get students pumped up for the upcoming season and give them a chance to meet the players.
Fans and players had the opportunity to participate in activities including Pros vs. Joes, a half-court shot contest and a dunk contest, won by sophomore Matt Rogers.
Following the games, Head Men's Basketball coach Jeff Guiot gave a pep talk.
This season, the basketball teams are focusing on the concept of the seventh man. Guiot stressed that God should always be first in our lives, and the team and students should honor Him this season by making sure to keep the idea of the seventh man intact.
The seventh man concept places God first, the team second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth (the number of players on the team) and the fans that support the team seventh.
In order to support the team, t-shirts are available signifying the seventh man concept. They can be purchased for $7 in Plaster Athletic Center.
