SBU to host flag football tournament

Southwest Baptist University will host the first annual "5 on 5" Bearcat Bowl Flag Football Tournament Saturday, May 3.
Teams will be made up of seven members each and a $175 fee will apply ($25 per person, 7-man roster).
The Bearcat Bowl will give a portion of the proceeds to the Ozarks Food Harvest.
The tournament will also host a food drive during the games. The team that brings the most non-perishable food items on the day of the tournament will receive a prize.
The tournament will take place at Plaster Stadium located on the University's campus.
Each team will be guaranteed three games in pool play and each team member will receive a t-shirt.
Games will begin at 9 a.m. The registration deadline is Monday, April 28.
The Bearcat Bowl Flag Football Tournament is dedicated to students and adults who have a passion for playing or watching football. The purpose of the Bearcat Bowl is to promote and encourage participation in the game of football throughout the community, while raising awareness, money and food for the Ozarks Food Harvest.
