TEAM, Higher Ground team up to lead worship

Two ministries on Southwest Baptist University campus came together for a night of worship. Theatrical Evangelism and Missions [TEAM] and Higher Ground came together Thursday, April 24 in the Goodson Student Union.
Higher Ground brought many favorite praise songs. Higher Ground is a traveling ensemble which tours throughout the year. They lead worship in church services, Disciple Now and mission projects. Dr. Martha Hicks advises the group as they rehearse and tour around the area. The group is made up of sophomores Kim Smith, Mindy Johnson and Christina Gorchos, juniors Justin Goodwin and Cassie Carney and freshman Brad Barlett. The band includes freshmen George Newman on bass, Evan Johnson on guitar, Tori Blankenship on keyboard and senior Stephen Cowden on guitar. Dierra Blankenship, a student in the community plays drums for the group. Junior Chris Maples helps the group out with his technical support.
TEAM is a theatre group that travels around the area and presents the gospel through the use of drama. Members consist of freshmen Amanda Nicole, Jessica Foley, Nathan Ford and Curtis Murphy; sophomores Mindy Johnson, Kim Smith, Jacob Fox, Andy Hanson and Jonathan Butcher; junior Chris Maples, and seniors Sarah Minott, Shayna Seaman and Erica Grubaugh.
