Mozarkian features student-made films

Southwest Baptist University students enjoy their meal at Mozarkian on Saturday, April 19. The event included awards for the film festival and swing dancing lessons from a dance instructor.

University Activities Council held the annual Mozarkian banquet Saturday, April 19 in McClelland Dining Facility. The banquet was paired with the film festival giving it a "Hollywood Premiere" theme.
The evening began with dinner at 6 p.m. followed by awards for the film festival. Five awards were given for the competition.
Best Actor went to senior David VanBebber for his role in "Night at the Poetry Club." Freshman Michael Milliam won Best Plot for "No Country for Maupin Men."
The movie "Young Folks" edited by sophomore Dan West won Best Editing. Sophomore Elise Scofield took home the Best Overall award for "Guggenhiemer."
Best Director was junior Kenny McCune for "City Wide Garage Sale."
After the awards were given, students were able to participate in swing dance lessons with a dance instructor.
