Southwest Baptist University students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to give back to the Bolivar community during finals week with an organization called Bolivar Connections.
Bolivar Connections is a non-profit organization that receives donations from people in Bolivar who have excess and uses the form of a free store to distribute those donations to people in the area who are in need.
The donations are mainly clothing. The organization is located in Countryside Assembly Church on Morrisville Road.
A Facebook group was created to help spread the word of Bolivar Connections.
"At first I didn't understand what it was, but now that I know, it sounds like a very beneficial organization," said senior Amanda Willcut.
Bins are located in each dorm for donation collections.
If it is a large donation one should call 417-399-5743 so that a truck can be sent to pick it up.
"Hopefully this year we will have a good response," said Carrie Manser, who is in charge of Bolivar Connections.
As students clean their dorm rooms and begin moving out, Bolivar Connections is willing to accept any items students do not want anymore.
For questions call Manser at 417-777-2431.
